U.S.Steel, which became a large conglomerate corporation known as USX (who eventually spun off the U.S.Steel division as a stand alone company) has always been a huge stakeholder in Clairton. Stakeholders can also be the very influential groups and organizations within the City, too. It might be good for the partnership group of the City and School to discuss their understanding of stakeholders and the life and future of the City. Not all owners are absentee landlords in the worse sense. Some of our parishioners are responsible landlords. It would be good to have a focus group with some of them.
