The public is invited to complete a short survey regarding what is needed in terms of parks and recreation for the Clarion Region. This survey is being conducted as part of the Clarion Regional Parks and Recreation Plan and is a follow-up from the public meeting held last fall. To download a copy of the survey, please click here. All responses will be kept confidential. The results of the survey will be presented at the public meeting on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Clarion Main Street Center located at 516 Main Street in Clarion.
Through the planning process, residents in the region have identified a number of new recreation facilities and programs that are needed. The survey looks to ask residents to prioritize those facilities and programs in order to direct future grant applications and new investments.
A focus of the plan is on building partnerships, both with neighboring municipalities and other recreation providers. The survey contains questions regarding public support for regional partnerships as well as public funding to provide parks and recreation in the region.
