Increasingly stringent environmental legislation requires, more than ever, comprehensive consulting services that achieve balance between development aspirations and environmental sensitivity. Mackin Engineering Company provides a wide range of environmental services with the purpose of identifying, resolving, or avoiding problems associated with attaining environmental clearance or sustaining environmental quality.

Our staff of environmental scientists provides insight and analytical support on transportation, industrial, municipal, and recreational projects to assess the impacts of existing or planned facilities on the natural surroundings.

Their expertise is applied to address regulatory compliance, resource conservation, scenic preservation, site characterization, ecological risk assessment, and other environmental objectives. In doing so, our scientists identify and evaluate such environmental factors as water quality, terrestrial and aquatic ecology, invasive species, threatened/endangered species, and habitat conditions.

In performing environmental projects, our staff regularly interfaces with regulatory agencies at all governmental levels, guiding our clients through local, state, and federal permitting processes.
