Construction Inspection for the New Stanton Interchange

Interchange Project for PennDOT Engineering District 12-0. A new interchange constructed west of the existing interchange consists of roundabouts at the ramp intersections. The new interchange connects to Byers Avenue and Bair Boulevard, with Center Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue being reconstructed. The existing Center Avenue Bridge over I-70 was replaced and the bridge carrying SR 3093 (Old SR 119) over Sewickley Creek was rehabilitated. Interstate 70 was reconstructed to provide a third lane in each direction, between the new interchange and the New Stanton Turnpike interchange. The project also included new traffic signals, signing, pavement markings, guide rail, drainage, highway lighting, construction of a park and ride lot, storm water mitigation, stream relocation along with extensive Maintenance & Protection of Traffic Phasing during construction.
