This severely skewed intersection (50 degrees) was the site of numerous accidents and several fatalities. Mackin prepared the design of a new roundabout that accommodates the movement of large trucks. Splitter islands, advance warning signals, signing, and lighting was provided for increased visibility. The roundabout now provides steady traffic flow through the intersection with greatly improved safety.
